ACICA is an autonomous and voluntary non-profit making organisation as defined in the Voluntary Organisations Act (Chapter 492 of the Laws of Malta) and duly registered, (VO 0871). Its main purpose is to give children living in Maltese Children’s homes the opportunity to believe in themselves and flourish in their potentials thus ensuring that they have a secure placement in our society and a greater possibility to develop into independent adults.
ACICA was established in October 2013. The first year was dedicated to give it the necessary structures and thereafter invites for sponsorship started to be issued to the Homes caring for children. During the first 5 years of such activity (2014 – 2018), more than 100 children were assisted.
